When you Wonder

I had been talking to a friend about a retreat weekend we wanted to plan for later next year. It would be the first one we would run from idea to clean-up. We decided that she would start a blog to support and advance the ideas behind the retreat and hopefully attendance. I and others would be guest contributors.

That got me wondering, was the old blog I had from years ago, Storyteller's Grove, still there? Was Blogger still a thing?  The answers were Yes and Yes.

Storyteller's Grove was created to be about and in support of writing, authors, my thoughts on books I'd read. I had not posted there in almost 3 years.  I also haven't written any new fiction in even longer although I tell myself I will ..... someday, any day now. One of those stories we tell ourselves.

Perhaps I will write fiction again. Lately that muse is poking around the edges of my mind more. The obvious question is what will I write about?

I wrote Dark Dealings 8 years ago. Since then, I have divorced, buried my father (Mom died in 2001), changed careers, been through several relationships that were, shall we say, learning experiences. I'm a different person now in many ways. In some ways, I am more me than I was (for better or worse depending on who you ask).

The bigger question, is why will I write?

Because I have stories, we all have stories, that we tell each other, that we tell ourselves and some of them are even true. This blog is perhaps the beginning of a journey of stories.

Of course the question I didn't ask about blogs was: Does anyone still read them?

Does that matter or is the purpose and meaning in the act of writing?
